Why?
As you research domestic violence you see so many organizations that are out to not let a friends memory die by paying a died victims funerals or student loans wth.........there is not enough to help the women get out and stay out of these situations I understand from my family first hand that they did what they did out of "respect" for me for those who knew but what I realize now is that we don't need our family and friends "respect" for our relationships we need your support to get out of them and not turn back we need fire under our ass to let us know that we have people that will stand up against this with us mentally, physically, and financially. I want to help the women who need help getting out and staying out God bless the souls for all who have lost their lives because lord knows I was almost one of them but who is going to fight for us who are still here....I am and I ask that all those people who would have showed up to my funeral to cry and think about all the good and bad times we had fight with me! Those who would have cried for my baby losing a mother, my mother losing a child, my sister's and brothers losing a sister fight with me because I am still here and I would rather keep fighting then to give in! I am still not completely through this situation but I know that with support I soon will be.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month!
I have always loved purple never knew that two things that I never choose for my life and that I have learned to care so much about would be represented by this color Lupus Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness......One ribbon two causes! Seek help if going through domestic violence I know first hand it is easier said then done but step out on faith not only for you but for everyone who truly loves you!
The last time I felt normal I was wearing purple for lupus awareness month in May now hopefully I can get back to being normal as I wear purple again for Domestic violence awareness month this month.
May 24th this year I almost lost my life at the hands of someone I love I came out with only a fractured tail bone but I thank God for my life. It is a struggle everyday for me to break this chain that I feel holding on to me so tightly. Domestic violence is real and not only does physical harm but mental harm as well. I lived through this for the last 6 years of my life and will deal with the hurt maybe forever. October is domestic violence awareness month and I plan to do all I can so that no one ever have to go through what I went through and is still going through right now!

Godparents, Does your Child/you have true ones!
Hello, World
My sister posted something on Facebook today that I feel should be addressed. She asked what are Godparents. That to me was very deep. Me being a mother of a four year old daughter this touched home for me because I have never asked anyone to be my child Godparents and people that have asked I have not agreed to. This is because a God parent meant so much more to me then just a tittle. When you are a Godparent it is just as important as being a parent. You have to invest in that child's life as if they were your own because once you are given that tittle they are your own. You have to be willing to step in if anything is to happen to that parent and even if that parent is still around you must be a huge asset in that child's life. A Godparent is so much more then giving your Godchild that new outfit and pair of Jordan's. You have to give knowledge, love, understanding. A Godparent actually steams from a religious background in Christianity. A Godparent was/is someone who sponsors a child baptism. A great excerpt that I found that explained it perfectly was on Wiki "Traditionally, godparents were informally responsible for ensuring the child's religious education was carried out, and for caring for the child should he/she be orphaned. Today, the word godparent might not have explicitly religious overtones. The modern view of a godparent tends to be an individual chosen by the parents to take an interest in the child's upbringing and personal development"

Lupus Awareness facts day 1- 10!
In my search for lupus facts I visited tons of websites there is so much information out about lupus but there are still so many people who know nothing about this disease that affects so many of us everyday. So every fact that I post this month will be facts that I feel are very important for all to understand what others and myself deal with on a daily basis.
Day 1 Lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease that can affect any part of the body. The immune system attacks the body's cells and tissue, resulting in inflammation and tissue damage.
Day 2 Lupus fact....... There are several forms of lupus Systemic lupus, Cutaneous lupus, drug-induced lupus, and Neonatal lupus!
day 3 Lupus fact part 1 Systemic lupus is the most common form of lupus, and is what most people mean when they refer to "lupus." Systemic lupus can affect any part of your body, and can be mild or severe. Some of the more serious complications involving major organ systems are:inflammation of the kidneys an increase in blood pressure in the lungs inflammation of the heart muscle
hardening of the arteries inflammation of the central nervous system and brain
inflammation of the brain’s blood vessels
day 4 lupus fact Cutaneous lupus is limited to your skin. Although cutaneous lupus can cause many types of rashes and lesions (sores), the most common kind is raised, scaly and red, but not itchy; it is called a discoid rash because the areas of rash are shaped like disks, or circles.Another common example of cutaneous lupus is the rash on the cheeks and across the bridge of the nose, known as the butterfly rash. Hair loss and changes in the pigment, or color, of the skin are also symptoms of cutaneous lupus.
Day 5 lupus fact Mortality for lupus: 10 year survival rate 76-90%; 90% live a normal life span
Day 6 lupus fact women are 9x more likely to develop lupus then men.
Day 7 lupus fact 30 - 50 new cases every year per 100,000 people.
day 8 lupus fact In the USA, roughtly 2 Million people have Lupus. More people have lupus than cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, and MS combined
Day 9 lupus fact 1 out of 600 Caucasian women develop Lupus; 1 out of 200 African-American women develeop Lupus!
Day 10 Lupus fact Drug induced lupus develops after the use of certain drugs or biologics and has symptoms similar to those of SLE. The characteristics of this syndrome are pleuropericardial inflammation, pleuritic chest pain (inflammation of the lining of the lungs), pericarditis (swelling and irritation of the pericardium, the thin sac-like membrane that surrounds the heart), ever, rash, and arthritis. Serologic (Blood) changes can occur. The clinical and serologic signs usually subside gradually after the offending drug is discontinued. A wide variety of drugs is implicated in this form of lupus, including: Drugs Implicated as Activators of Drug-Induced Lupus
Isoniazid
Hydralazine
Procainamide
Minocycline
Anti-TNF biologics
More recently, the newer TNF (tumor necrosis factor) inhibitors used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, and ankylosing spondylitis have been associated with the development of lupus symptoms. As with lupus triggered by other drugs, the symptoms resolve when the agent is stopped.

Lupus awareness month is May and our new up and coming nonprofit needs your help. Loop-us is a small group committed to spreading the word about Lupus and to do that we need your help. We are looking for people and businesses to help us in any way you can. We are currently in the process of becoming a nonprofit so our funds are very low. We need help with print materials, venues to do events, supplies and so much more. In the month of may we want everyone who is connected to us in any way to know about lupus and the affects that it has on so many of us who live with it daily. If you can do personal fundrasiers or know of ways you can spread the word let me know! We need you, if you can help us or know of someone who can contact me! Pass the word!

Staying Home good or bad what do you think?
I stayed home with my daughter today.I got some house work done. I cooked breakfast and went over some much needed school work with her like her alphabet, numbers, Spanish etc. I loved every moment of it. I feel bad that I can't do this for her every day and because I am the one who makes all of the money and pay all of the bills I can't do this every day. I love to go to work every day but I feel I will love taking care of a family so much more. Especially with my dealing with the every day ups and downs of lupus I feel I miss so much that I will never get back and should I really be putting this much time into someone else's business when my life can end at anytime? I work hard so that I can give her what I never had but will that help if I am not here for her in the end? What do you think?

WTF
I don't understand men and I never will at least I don't understand my man and never will!
OAN: I had a great day because I ain't about to let a lil drama get in the way of my Joy.
Pain level for today is about a 3 my arm was killing me all day.
Work was work, that's all about that!
Went to school, and school was school. I have homework to do but I am soooooooooooooooooo sleepyy.
Well my bestie did my hair after I got out of school and I must say "I look good"!Then we went out for drinks and Mexican food. It was just ok.
When I got home my big cuz was home from Iraq. This made me soooooooooooo happy but he goes back in 2 weeks this makes me sooooooooooooooooooooo sad! I will miss him like always but I am so proud of him and what he is doing for us all! Do you'll have family in Iraq?
Now salon talk for the day was about Chris Brown. I would have to say I love the guy and always will. Ok, yes what he did was wrong but we don't know what happened that night between the two of them. What do you'll think about the matter? What do you think about his interview today?
Can't wait to get to the sandy beaches next week, I miss you sun and palm trees!
Until next time world!

What a day!
Well I guess today was not to bad I am still here.
Pain level a 2 so that is extremely great! I am just a little sore from my workouts this pass weekend at Flirty girl fitness. That kick ass cardio kicked my ass!
Work was work and I won't be completely happy until I am working for only myself.
I was suppose to be going to a bulls game out of town this weekend for my 25th B-Day but it doesn't look like that will be happening so I have to find something else for me and the ladies to do. Any ideas world?
OAN: I am working on getting as healthy as I can be from the inside out. I have come to the realization that this may mean cutting some people, places, and things go! I am so ready for this change and I welcome you all to go on this incredible journey with me.
Life is what we make it and I am going to make mine a great one!
Until next time world!
